LONDON, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has further strengthened its London Real Estate Practice with the addition of Construction Law Shareholder Ben Patton. Patton joins as head of Greenberg Traurig's London Construction Practice from Ashurst Perkins Coie, where he led the firm's Construction Practice.

Greenberg Traurig Executive Chairman Richard A. Rosenbaum said: "Our investment in London is focused on building a platform that combines deep sector knowledge with seamless collaboration across markets and practice areas. Ben brings highly regarded construction and development experience that complements our expanding real estate and infrastructure capabilities, further enhancing our ability to advise clients on complex projects and transactions across sectors and jurisdictions."
Executive Vice President and London office Managing Shareholder Fiona Adams said: "Ben's arrival continues the growth of our London office and reflects our commitment to investing in areas where we see strong client demand. Our Real Estate Practice has gained strong momentum, and we continue to attract market-leading lawyers who value Greenberg Traurig's collaborative culture, international reach, and entrepreneurial approach. Ben is highly regarded in the market and adds greater depth to our offering across development and construction mandates."
Patton's arrival enhances the firm's ability to support clients from the early stages of development through completion. He will focus on UK development and construction matters across a range of sectors, complementing the work of Infrastructure Group Shareholder Richard Ceeney, who joined the firm in April 2025 to focus on major infrastructure and energy projects globally.
London Real Estate Co-Chair Matthew Priday added: "Ben is one of the leading construction lawyers in the London market, and his arrival enhances our ability to support clients on complex development projects. His experience advising developers, investors, occupiers, and lenders across a broad range of sectors complements our real estate and infrastructure capabilities. Alongside our existing infrastructure and projects offering, Ben further strengthens our ability to provide integrated advice across the development and delivery cycle."
Patton said: "Greenberg Traurig's continued investment in London, combined with the strength of its global real estate platform, made this a compelling opportunity. As one of the largest real estate law firms in the world, the firm has the breadth and international reach to support clients on complex developments, while retaining a highly entrepreneurial approach. I look forward to working with the team and bringing my construction experience to the firm's growing UK development practice."
Patton is ranked Band 3 as a Notable Practitioner for Construction: Non-Contentious in the 2026 Chambers UK Guide, where he has been recognised for five consecutive years, with clients saying: "Ben is really pragmatic. He is certainly very user-friendly, jumps into action and is really helpful." He is also ranked as a Leading Partner for Construction: Non-Contentious in The Legal 500 2026 UK guide, which describes him as "a recognised authority across the logistics, infrastructure and life sciences sectors." Patton serves on the Joint Contracts Tribunal drafting subcommittee and is a member of both the City Property Association and the Society of Construction Law.
The London Real Estate team was named Real Estate Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2026 and was highly commended in the same category at the Legal Business Awards 2026.
